MARYLAND / DELAWARE STATE H.O.G.  RALLY, Tuesday, Weds, Thursday, June 20/21/22, 2006, Deep Creek Lake, MD. Harley-Davidson established the Harley Owners Group in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride, with a  total membership of 60.000. Rapid growth continued into the 1990's, and in 1991 H.O.G. officially went international,  H.O.G. hysteria spread into Asia, including new chapters in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. BY 1999, worldwide membership had hit the half million mark, and the number of local chapters totaled 1,157. Today, more that 900,000  members make H.O.G. the largest factory-Sponsored motorcycle organization in the world. And it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
HARLEY RENDEZVOUS CLASSIC 2006, JUNE 23,24 &25, 2006  PATTERSONVILLE, NY. So the next time you see an individual that still believes in the old ways, you know the guy that still builds his own ride, and still talks of brotherhood, take a moment and spend more time with him. Don't hold it against him if he doesn't seem to want to get with what's happening, and likes riding his shovel,  He's part of a vanishing breed that still believes in individuality and brotherhood and was probably at Woodstock. He still remembers what it used to be about. So come on down and enjoy look at the past and see how we used to have fun, but remember one thing, leave your Rolex at home, it does not fit in very well with this event. they never laugh at your ride, why, it because you ride and that all I can say about that. If you want more, take a ride on the wild side and visit their web site : HarleyRendezvous.com
HOLE IN THE WALL RUN, JUNE 25,2006, PLAINFIELD VFW, RT-14 @ 10:00 AM, this run offered  to the public by the GATE KEEPERS M/C so as to gain support for this fine organization. which supports the care of children who have cancer. Run starts at the Plainfield VFW and run around some of the nicest roads in Windham County. End up in Chaplin at the Bac-Dor Cafe on Rt-16, where there will be a after run party offering food, music, raffles and prizes, plus a 50/50 raffle.  Now a little information on who we are attempting to support. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is almost undetectable. Enter through the camp gates, and a wonderland explodes in a kaleidoscopic burst of colors and architectural odes to the Old West. The tree-lined dirt road winds and edges its way around stables, barns, fields, and paths into the woods until the main complex is revealed: an Olympic-size swimming pool, log cabins circling a wide green, a theater, the OK Corral (the infirmary), craft-making areas disguised as Western-style shops, a towering round dining hall modeled on a Shaker barn, as well as a recreation center. It is here that children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses find camaraderie, joy and a renewed sense of being a kid.
