MARYLAND / DELAWARE STATE  HOG Rally

Tuesday, Weds, Thursday,  June 20/21/22 2006, Deep Creek Lake, MD

Harley-Davidson® established the Harley Owners Group® in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley® riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. By 1985, 49 local chapters had sprouted around the country, with a total membership of 60,000. Rapid growth continued into the 1990s, and in 1991 H.O.G.® officially went international, with the first official European H.O.G. Rally in Cheltenham, England. Worldwide membership numbered 151,600, with 685 local chapters. As the '90s continued, H.O.G. hysteria spread into Asia, including new chapters in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By 1999, worldwide membership had hit the half-million mark, and the number of local chapters totaled 1,157. Today, more than 900,000 members make H.O.G. the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle organization in the world, and it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Jordan's Journey

Sunday, Sept. 24th, 2006 Hartford, CT

For Jordan’s Journey, a charity motorcycle ride to raise money for Oak Hill, dedicated to providing services and solutions for people with disabilities. Jordan’s Journey is a tribute to Jordan Thomas Dee, a beautiful boy born with mental retardation and physical disabilities, who passed away at 14 years of age. As a student at Oak Hill School's New Hartford special education classroom, Jordan filled the hearts of those he touched with his music and his smiles. This charitable motorcycle ride to benefit Oak Hill, is the brainchild of Jordan's parents, John and Elizabeth Dee. "Jordan's Journey is our way of thanking Oak Hill for making such a significant difference in our son's life; the funds we raise will be used to support Oak Hill's important work in helping children and adults with disabilities reach their highest potential." Spread the word… Tell your family and friends about this wonderful event. If you don't ride a motorcycle, just come and join the festivities. For those who don't ride but would like to help, please contact Linda Kasevich at 860 242-2274 ext. 3359; email: kasevichl@ciboakhill.org we’ll need lots of volunteers to join in the fun too!
